The starred chef George McGregor closed his renowned restaurant in the highlands, as he does every year, in order to celebrate New Year’s Eve with his family and employees in an intimate setting.

At 63, George wanted to retire for the new year. That’s why he announced that he would be revealing his successor this evening. Everyone awaited his decision with baited breath.
The two chefs, Marcus and Henry, both competing to be George’s successor, served an impressive four-course menu. Everyone ate and drank copious amounts together.
But when the fireworks started flaring up on the horizon in the village below, the renowned chef lay dead on the terrace of his own restaurant. How could this New Year’s celebration end so tragically?
